The Gel and Foam Air 2D Cushion designed for prevention for High to Very High Decubitus Risk cushion is specifically designed to address the needs of individuals at risk of developing pressure ulcers. It consists of a contoured moulded viscoelastic foam base, known as Visco Mouss, which is connected to a polyurethane gel insert.
The cushion incorporates a viscoelastic fluid gel pad in blue, strategically placed to provide maximum pressure relief to vulnerable bony areas. This fluid gel pad is specially designed to conform to the body’s contours, distributing pressure evenly and reducing the risk of pressure ulcers.
In addition to its pressure-relieving properties, the cushion’s shape is carefully designed to promote good posture while seated. It helps maintain the natural curvature of the spine and provides support to the lower back. Furthermore, the cushion’s design includes features that prevent sliding forward, ensuring the user remains in a stable and comfortable position. With a foam density of 86 kg/m3, this cushion offers a combination of support, pressure relief, and durability.
